The Media Center Needs You!
The Media Center is looking for volunteers. 
Our volunteers can shelf books, cover books, 
pack STEM bags, and help with classes.
​The Sign-up is Below
We LOVE to build and create in the Media Center. I would appreciate any donations:
  • toilet paper or pare towel rolls
  • small paper bags
  • popsicle sticks
  • straws
  • cotton balls
  • masking tape
  • scotch tape.

Mission Statement:

The Mission statement of the Summit Hill Media Center is to   support both the students and staff. The SHE Media Center will empower students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, ethical users of information, and strong leaders.  The Media Specialist with partner with the staff to ensure the classrooms supports 21st Century learning.

Hours: 7:15a-2:15a Daily

Circulation Policy

Kindergarten & 1st Grade:  2 book maximum
2nd Grade-5th Grade: 3 book maximum

Books are checked out for 2 weeks.

Lost or damaged items must be paid for. Students with overdue books will not be allowed to checkout books until the bill is paid.

What is  METI?

 
Teacher: Collaborate with students and other members of the learning community to determine learning and information needs.
Instructional Partner: Collaborate with teachers and administration to design lessons and support information literacy as well as learning across the curriculum.
Information Specialist: Provide leadership and expertise in acquiring and evaluating information resources in all formats.
Program Administrator: Manages all activities of the media program including budgets, collection development, equipment, promotional activities, and facilities.
Technology Leader: Provide support in facilitating professional learning sessions with school staff to effectively integrate technology and establishes professional learning experiences for the school community to increase knowledge of technology resources and instructional activities.
